I am looking to get experience recording a demo and am willing to do one for free and then possibly for money. I have all the equipment to record a demo/album for a band but don't have a studio so would have to record wherever you practice. Even though this is not professional I have done it a few times for my friends band and once for my own band and they have all come out really well. Currently trying to get the right people involved in a project that will make more money than most of the endeavors currently going on in the area. The patrons who frequent the popular clubs and bars in the area are college brats and twenty-somethings... and the music they listen to is contemporary/modern/with the times with bands such as Papa Roach, Breaking Benjamin, Three Days Grace, Chevelle, Seether, Five Finger Death Punch, Staind, Godsmack, Theory of a Deadman, Default, 10 Years, etc.. I understand the standpoint of personal satisfaction, but at what price.. to go home empty handed at the end of the night.. or to spend more money than you actually make at every gig. After talking with a couple popular club owners I can tell you that there is a strong desire for bands that cover energetic and danceable music. No club owner wants to see his patrons standing around.. especially dance clubs.. and that is where all the money is at. This is why many local clubs hire a DJ, because they play a lot of KGB music and keep up with what is popular . So, If you have any interest in playing music from the here and now then please contact me. Let's get away from the same ole same ole.. and do something fresh, exciting, and different from what everyone else is doing. Im currently looking for a metal band that has a need for samples and keys , Im currently running a kick ass dm2 mixman midi controller through a kick ass laptop thats acting as several thousand keyboards / sample pads , Ive got tons of sounds , sequences , ect , if i dont have what your looking for i can sample it , The audio is then piped out of the laptop through my soundblaster audigy 2 zs 24 bit sound card and then into my 300 watt peavey head and out of my 300 watt peavey 412 cab . I can also connect a mic through the system and add vocal effects as well as do the same for backing vocals .
I have recording capability , and if I Can get my other laptop going I may be able to Record or stream live performances to the net .
this may sound like a ton of stuff to set up on stage but its not the laptop and midi controller sit right on top of my head and cabinet and i can stand right behind it and pump out whatever it is that you need . I can also run a drum machine for bands without a drummer . Although the drum machine will have to be patched into a pa system as its probably going to sound like crap coming out of a 4x12 cab .

Drummer wanted for a new start-up project that is metal-focused but fused with lots of other genres (even enka!) for influences. So far its 1 guitarist and a bass guitar player with a handful of our own material and since this pretty much starting up from scratch, we are willing to work with just about any skill level of a drummer (preferably someone not still using practice pads...). Some of the main points we are looking for in style of percussion play is mostly 1/4's, 2/4's and 2/3to3/4's switch-ups to match mainly with 4x & 8x riff patterns with chainsaw-rippin' double kicks and machinegun-pounding taps for fills and breakdowns (jazz-hand freekouts are also welcome!) We are trying for pretty much original material but a couple covers aint a bad thing either. We are mainly playing for fun and the love of musick but with the goal of playing out once things get good enough to that point, we are cool with beer during practice as long as you're a happy drinker like us and a lil grass never hurt anyone but no heavy/hardcore drugs mang, got it ginger balls?! I'm looking to start a punk rock band. I've been playing guitar for over 10 years and have played mostly classic rock but want to try to start a band playing the music I grew up listening to. I used to be in a punk band years ago in high school (I'm 23 now) and played in a classic rock band for about 5 years after that around Binghamton so I have experience playing out. I'd like to start with covers but move to trying to write some originals. I don't have a place to practice but am willing to travel to pretty much anywhere in the area. I have all my own equipment that is more than enough to play out. Bands that I'd like to try to cover/sound like: Thursday, Pennywise, The Offspring, Tsunami Bomb, Rise Against, Blink 182, Millencolin ... basically poppy punk that's fun to play. I can't sing so don't ask me to try. Anyone interested please send me an email.

My name's Mark Masland. I'm a 22 year old songwriter, somewhat new to the Binghamton area. I write and sing folk songs, play guitar and harmonica.
