, Title page has publisher as Sampson, Low, Marston & Company of London, with a print date of 1893. The copyright of 1893 is held by Charles Scribner's Sons and this book was printed from American plates by the English firm of Wm. Clowes & Sons.

A collection of four stories of the Old South:
- No Haid Pawn by Thomas Nelson Page -
- How the Derby Was Won by Harrison Robertson -
- Aunt Fountain's Prisoner by Joel Chandler Harris -
- Tirar Y Soult by Rebecca Harding Davis -

Condition:
Half cloth over worn marbled boards. Gilt lettering on spine is faded but legible. There's a small nick on front edge of spine, and heavy wear at corners. Hinges are intact. Binding is shaken but with no loose or loosening pages. Illustrated in black and white full page and in-text illustrations. Pages are clean and there are no ownership markings.

Overall condition is Good+
