Why I don't know, but at home aid is hard to get... I'm very ill (terminal cancer but I don't look crippled in case that may concern you. just too tired or nauseous or in pain to really do anything for myself) but also in my 30s and I need help with everything, the typical ADLs as it's called. Grocery, Food prep, Grooming, organizing appointments and doctors phone numbers, calling them, setting up appointments, cleaning the room, head or back massage (pain and symptom management for chemo, currently my mom or dad help with this all day long as well), loneliness, finances, etc. Basically, everything in life because I can't do anything anymore. Help figuring out how to move one chair from one room to another if it's bigger than the door.
My parents themselves are old and fall often... and don't know tech and about calling and coordinating appointments... so I need more help. And they can't cook the proper diet I need that I'm supposed to be one
So anyways, nursing experience helps but because that's more expensive and this is also more about general aid, I don't think any real experience is necessary. If you can take care of a pet or person, you can help take care of me. Being good at computers helps, typing and helping me with emails or things like that. Why do i have 100 unread emails?
I'm fielding offers, looking for maybe 4 hours a day 3 days a week to start and see how it goes. Please tell me about yourself and experience and hourly rates you are looking for. Keep it very brief because I really first need to see if it's even feasible and people exist in this area that can help in this manner and how much it may cost me and if people live near enough that its convenient for them.
I am looking for someone nice and cool and fun because part of the terminal journey is... if it's not enjoyable then what's the point.. there ius no rainbow in the end, this is the journey, the journey should be the rainbow. Don't be sad if this makes you sad, the same is true for all of us - it's all journey, we need to enjoy it.
So it helps if you like scary movies too because I do but can't watch them alone. Or if you play games I can watch. and if you like reading you can read me books or i can read you books. If you have any experience or interest in psychic stuff, astral projection, lucid dreaming, weird magical things like that even cooler. Philosophy too. Also music, especially if you play an instrument. We will have things to get along around.
I don't like super professional strict work focused mentalities. Enough is enough with that. It dissolves the breathe and joy of life. You need to be free. I'm like a bird, I only fly away. Do you know what I mean? Probably not because that's an old song.
