It powers on and successfully tunes into local AM radio stations.
The white plastic chassis is in great shape for its age. The front gold mesh speaker grille is frayed/loose along the right edge.
Originally ran on obsolete 9V cylinder batteries, but can easily be adapted to run on a modern standard 9V battery.
It includes a top-mounted, fold-down carrying handle for mobile use.
The P-808 relied on a 5-transistor or 6-transistor circuit layout, which replaced old, hot vacuum tubes with more efficient solid-state parts.
