I have repurposed 2 of my niece and nephew’s old beds into benches. The frames were completely un-assembled and redesigned and re-glued with an exterior glue, although I would not recommend these benches be out in the weather. A covered porch, mud room, or in your cottage or cabin would look great! There is a storage area under the seat. No cushions are supplied with these units. I would suggest a 3x14x39 cushion. They have never had a finish put on them, so they come unfinished. (cushion not included) They have a few nicks etc., as would be expected of a 40yr + item. They do have new adjustable padded feet. Make appointment to see it before you buy it.
