COMMERCIAL LAUNDRY SPECIALIST/TECHNICIAN - Sanico, Inc. - Upstate, NY

THE COMPANY
Sanico is a 2nd generation-owned wholesale distributor of janitorial supplies & professional cleaning equipment servicing Upstate New York and Northeast Pennsylvania. We seek to provide solutions and value for our customers. We are looking for an experienced, seasoned Commercial Laundry Technician to join our Sanico Service Team. Our Service Division is tasked with providing maintenance, programming and technical support of our customer's commercial laundry equipment & chemical operations.  

THE JOB

The Laundry Technician will work closely with the Sanico Service Division program manager to create an efficient work schedule of preventive maintenance checks and services (PMCS) for Sanico's laundry customers. In rare instances, a customer may have off-hours service disruption requiring the Service Technician’s assistance (either remote or in-person). Providing high-skill, high-touch service is a tremendous value-add for our customers and strengthens the business relationship. On an as-needed basis, the Service Technician may be tasked with assisting with large-scale dispenser installations (paper towel, toilet tissue, hand soap/sanitizer) at other customer locations. The position is based in Binghamton, NY but most work is performed in the field at customer locations, therefore a company-owned service van is provided for business use.  

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

• Experience with maintenance and troubleshooting commercial-grade laundry machines REQUIRED

• A track record of productivity and organization

• Demonstrated technical competence in mechanical, plumbing, electrical 

• Knows how to use a METER

• A positive, professional attitude

• Clean driver's license 

• High school diploma/GED 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Independent lifting of equipment which can exceed 50 pounds

• frequent climbing into/out of service van

• able to maneuver up/downstairs, ramps, etc. at service locations

• can handle exposure to weather conditions as the season dictates.

JOB TYPE:     
FULL-TIME, Monday thru Friday. Possibility of night or weekend service calls.

LOCATION:   
Sanico's Service Center located at 9 Broad Ave in Binghamton, NY will serve as a home base, but vast majority of time will be spent in the field at customer sites.

COMPENSATION:      
Salary + commission + bonus potential. 
Salary range - $58,000 - $69,600
