Yamaha G5 Grand piano in gloss ebony. The 6ft 6 in G5 is perfect for the serious student, professional pianist or for use in a recording studio. The G5 (serial # E 1588021) is considered a world class piano with a big sound along with a great action and tone. This piano was built in 1973, considered the golden age for Yamaha grands. The C (conservatory) equivalent replaced the G series with minor changes.

All mechanicals including action and hammers are in excellent shape and received a thorough inspection (Oct, 2025) by a master Yamaha/Steinway rebuider. I am the second owner, a musician and so it has been meticulously cared for and always kept tuned. The finish is basically flawless and comes with an adjustable professional seat.
If you do a search you will find that the average price for a used G5 is typically between $12-16k.
