Mattel Creeple Peeple Thingmaker molds from the 1960s
Vintage Mattel Thingmaker metal molds and accessories from the 1960s. These are die-cast metal molds for the Creeple Peeple toy line, A spinoff of Mattel's Creepy Crawlers. Introduced in 1965, these specific molds were used to create rubbery monster heads and accessories that could be placed on top of pencils. Users poured a liquid plastic called "Plastigoop" into the molds, heated them on an electric "Thingmaker" oven, and then cooled them in water to form solid, flexible figures.
