The American Civic Association is a non-profit services center for immigrants and refugees. We have been around since 1939 and over the past nearly 80 years, have helped out thousands of clients in the Upstate New York area.
Services we are providing:
Rent out conference/banquet halls for events
Other services: Translations, interpretations, notarization, foreign pension assistance, DMV letters, etc.
How You Can Help:
Becoming a board member
Event planning and preparation
Translation, interpretation and English instruction
Home set-up for new refugee arrivals
IT technical support
Marketing, social media, etc.
Developing and managing ACA website
The ACA is always looking for people who are interested in volunteering and/or interning. We are constantly looking for individuals who can be translators in various languages especially Russian, Ukrainian, Arabic and French among others.
You can also help us by renting out our conference/banquet halls for $250.
